Who’s Afraid of American Religion? A Conversation with Alan Wolfe October 25, 2007 On Tuesday, October 30, at 7 p.m., Azusa Pacific University's Center for Research on Ethics and Values (CREV) and Fuller Theological Seminary will co-host a conversation with Alan Wolfe, Ph.D., on "Who's Afraid of American Religion?" The lecture will be held at Fuller Theological Seminary in Payton 101, located at 120 North Oakland Ave., Pasadena. Wolfe, director of the Boisi Center for Religion and Public Life at Boston College, is a widely known commentator on issues of culture and faith in American politics, and has contributed to such publications as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Republic, Harper's, The Atlantic Monthly, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Wolfe's many books include Does American Democracy Still Work? (Yale, 2006); The Transformation of American Religion: How We Actually Practice Our Faith (Free Press, 2003); and Moral Freedom: The Search for Virtue in a World of Choice (Norton, 2001). Some of his books will be available for sale at the lecture from the Fuller Seminary bookstore. |
