Computer Workstations

Computer workstations with Internet access and application software are available in several locations on the Azusa campus—Marshburn Library, the Ahmanson Information Center located in Darling Library, the Theology Library, and at each Regional Center. Both PC and Mac workstations are available in the Ahmanson Information Center.

PC workstations are loaded with EndNote 9, SPSS 14, Wheels, WinSCP2, and Office 2003 (Access, Excel, InfoPath, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word). Mac workstations include Office 2004 (Entourage, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and iLife software (iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iChat, iCal, and Garage Band). An IMT lab technician is available to help with software, hardware, and access issues.

Wireless Access

Wireless network access is available anywhere on the APU campus as well as at each Regional Center. Access is restricted to current APU students, faculty, and staff, and an APU NetID and password are required.

Remote Access

To access library databases from home, you will need an active APU NetID and password. Contact IMT at support@apu.edu or (866) APU-DESK if you do not have this information. Once you have established your NetID and password, use the "Library Resources and Services" link within the Cougars' Den portal to access all library databases with one quick log-in.

Use of Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher for Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP, Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher for Macintosh OS 9.x and OS X, Netscape Navigator 7.0 or higher, or Mozilla for Linux/Unix is recommended for remote access of library databases. You may also need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker.

Printers

A copy card is required for printing information from the workstations. Copy cards may also be used at the photocopy machines and the microform reader/printers. In Marshburn Library, the card vending machine is located on the main level near the photocopy machines. In Darling Library, the vending machine is located in the Ahmanson Information Center print room. Cards are reusable and value may be added at the print release stations. The Theology Library does not have a card vending machine.

When you print your document, it will be sent to a central print release station. Directions for sending print jobs are available by the library workstation carrels. Printing costs $.10 per page for black and white and $.50 per page for color.

Photocopiers

In Marshburn Library, three copy machines are located on the main level and one machine is located on the lower level. In Darling Library, there are two copy machines in the Rotunda and one in the Ahmanson Information Center print room. Copiers are available on both floors of the Stamps Theology Library. Copies cost $.10 per page.

Copy machines accept both coins and copy cards. It is usually possible to change bills at the Circulation Desk in each library. The print release workstation coin and bill acceptor will make coin change.

Fax Machines

There are no public fax machines in either Marshburn, Darling, or the Theology libraries. A fax machine is available for student use in the Bookstore.
