APU Names New VP/CFO: Bob Johansen

AZUSA, Calif. –
Pasadena native and current Bradbury, Calif. resident, Robert L. Johansen, has been appointed vice president for business affairs/chief financial officer, effective Jan. 14, announced Azusa Pacific University President Jon R. Wallace, DBA.
As vice president for business affairs and CFO, Johansen will provide vision and leadership to the university as a member of the Office of the President and President's Council. He oversees the university's financial and business management operations from a broad-based perspective that balances both future and current conditions, as well as giving leadership to the areas of university services and asset management.
"Bob is a gifted financial leader, a responsible budget officer, and the kind of person in whom an institution can rest its financial accountability," said President Wallace. "I am thrilled that he has joined the APU leadership team."
Johansen comes to APU with 30 years experience as an accountant, chief financial officer, and controller at various Southern California companies. His previously worked at Russ Reid Company, Inc. as vice president and CFO. In addition, Johansen serves as a board member for Maranatha High School in Pasadena. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona.
