Christian Ministries Major

The Christian ministries major provides the student with a broad perspective in the field of theology and academic preparation, involving both theory and professional training. Graduates are prepared for more specialized graduate study and taught conceptual and technical resources for effective service in Christian ministry. Courses are available in Christian education, missions, pastoral work, urban ministry, and practical theology.

Students are required to spend a minimum of eight hours a week for two semesters in a hands-on field experience. Church, nonprofit organization, and ministry internships develop the student’s ability to blend Christian theology and Christian practice. Graduates are prepared for further study at competitive universities.
